Minimum Requirements: Minimum Requirements:
1. High School Diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
2. Two years of experience as a mechanical or electrical maintenance technician troubleshooting and repairing components in an industrial setting, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience performing mechanical repairs on facilities components and equipment.
2. Experience in production CNC environments, electrical controls, and automated systems.
3. Experience with welding, cutting, brazing, etc.
4. Knowledge of mechanical systems such as plumbing, conveyors and/or, harpoon systems, coolant systems, etc.
5. Knowledge of machinery and equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, supply and exhaust fans, power transmission components, cranes and hoists, etc.
6. Experience in the operations and maintenance of an industrial, large commercial, or logistics distribution environment.
7. Experience safely utilizing a wide variety of hand and power tools.
8. Fork lift and/or aerial lift experience and training.
9. Basic computer skills for data entry, email, etc.

Job Description: URS, an AECOM company, is seeking General Maintenance Technicians in Booneville, MS! A variety of work schedules is available; hours may vary based on business demand.
The General Maintenance Technician II is responsible for providing intermediate level support and assisting higher level Mechanical/Electrical technicians in responding to and providing service and feedback to the customer on all work orders, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on the industrial mechanical equipment in an industrial, large commercial, or Facilities environment.
This position supports the daily functions within our maintenance department, primarily performing routine preventive maintenance as well as some troubleshooting and repair of facility equipment while accompanied by a specialized technician. This equipment includes, but is not limited to: CNC Machine tools, pumps, bearings, blowers, fans, gearboxes, and air handlers and other equipment as required, as well as HVAC, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, PLC, automated systems, instrumentation, conveyor and/or R.O. systems and overhead cranes.
The General Maintenance Technician II will document and input all data on PMs and repairs into a CMMS. General Maintenance of equipment will also be required.
Responsibilities:
• Assists co-workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Assists the team with maintaining, operating and troubleshooting mechanical systems and equipment such as pumps, bearings, blowers, fans, gearboxes, conveyors and other equipment as required.
• Conducts preventive maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc.
• Troubleshoots and repairs basic electrical/mechanical issues.
• Performs basic plumbing repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, controls, and operating systems as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Recommends activities to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
• Understands company policies and enforces safety regulations.
• Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required.
• Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions.
• Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.
• Demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer
• Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
