Experience: • 8 years of production planning experience, including lead/supervisory responsibilities in an industrial environment for Petro -Chemical, Power or Refinery work. • Must possess a thorough knowledge of a variety of operating activities, such as purchasing, materials, production processes and engineering. • This position requires experience in performing craft work as a foreman or general foreman. • Must have petro-chemical Maintenance / TAR experience Must be computer proficient in MS Office • Knowledge of safe work permits, safety permits and safety procedures. • Have an understanding of Predictive & Preventative Maintenance programs. • Skilled in identifying and developing all tasks required to effectively & efficiently define and complete a job plan in Petro-Chemical setting in both T/A & Maintenance work packages This includes creating both material list and BOM. • Proficient in reading P&ID’s, Flow Diagrams, and Isometric Drawings • Proficient in both Material Ordering and Scheduling in SAP. Additional Information: • Applicants must have the physical capacity to walk the field and climb stairs up to 50% of the day. • Per Diem is available for this position. • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. Position Description or Typical Responsibilities: Reports to the URS General Superintendent. Responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of other Planners. Develop the Work Packages (WP) from Work Orders and Capitol Project requests through the Plant Area Construction Coordinators. Gather technical documents from the engineers and vendors for the WP’s. Develop material take-off (MTO) and submit material requisitions to Procurement. Determine required special tools or equipment to purchase or rent and submit requisitions with Procurement. Initiate critical lift plans if required. Extract model snapshots from the 3D Cad system to describe the WP work. Work with the construction supervisors to Develop detail plans using Primavera or Excel. Develop the labor estimates using a resource loaded Primavera or Excel plan. Submit the WP’s to Quality and Safety to attach their respective comments and forms. Work with Project Controls to enter the WP’s into the master schedule and cost control programs. Attend the PSSR’s to confirm WP completion and report back to Project Controls. Attend weekly planning meeting chaired by Project Controls to schedule and prioritize work packages with the Area Coordinator, Superintendents, and Client representative.
