Our design process is based on energy\-efficient building systems, and appropriate selection of materials and form to maximize environmental conditions and long\-term performance\. **Job Summary** Our studio seeks a design lead to partner with other studios develop an integrated Strategy and Design platform to grow the AECOM interior design practices, increase revenue, develop client relationships and establish AECOM San Francisco as the premier design offering in the region\. Over all leadership and role responsibilities and tasks include: Studio \+ Practice \+ Design + Recruit, hire and mentor top talent to create a collaborative, dynamic, and design passionate studio to enhance the overall design reputation of the studio internally and externally\. + Be an active participant in developing conceptual designs for key pursuits and projects while collaborating with appropriate leaders and teams in the architecture, interior design, planning, sports, engineering, cost modeling, and markets practices\. + Partner with Studio Leadership to develop an integrated Strategy and Design platform\. + Participate in San Francisco office leadership meetings \(staffing, culture, marketing, operations\)\. + Seek opportunities to collaborate with other practice areas based on existing and new client relationships\. + Oversee the design, technical and financial performance of all projects with the project architects and managers\. + Attract new talent to support growth and design excellence\. Business Development \+ Pursuits + Partner with Studio Leadership to develop a 1 \- 5 year business plan for the San Francisco studio \(revenue and client targets\)\. + Develop the practice through the stewardship of existing clients while developing new clients through existing relationships and the targeting of new relationships\. + Attend the appropriate local, regional and national industry events to raise the awareness and market position of the AECOM practices with the focus of design excellence\. + Collaborate with marketing to develop appropriate sections of a proposal, review for accuracy and completeness, and develop fees with the project manager when necessary\. + Collaborate with other practice area design principals to develop design presentations\. **Minimum Requirements** 15\+ years expertise, with an emphasis on Corporate and other related Interiors, with projects ranging from 25,000 sq\. ft\. to 100,000 sq\. ft\. or larger\. + Bachelor’s Degree of Interior Design and/or Architecture, or higher, from an accredited design school\. + Interest and experience with workspace strategy and an understanding of how that translates into design\. + Ability to communicate clearly and concisely; both verbally and in writing\. + Ability to work with integrity, trust and commitment, setting an example for others\. + Flexibility to travel within the United States\. **Preferred Qualifications** + NCIDQ certification / CCIDC certification or CA Registered Architect, and LEED AP preferred\. **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
