More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Water** We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\. **Job Summary** The Water Division of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented **Senior Civil Technologist** for immediate employment in Surrey\. The successful candidate will have an understanding of civil engineering technology and construction management principles and is very familiar with the design and construction of municipal infrastructure\. She/he will be expected to work successfully within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with other project team members and customers\. He/she will have a high level of initiative, motivation, and displays drive, energy and enthusiasm for getting things done\. The successful candidate will be expected to support in the delivery of infrastructure to customers mostly within the municipal water, wastewater and stormwater sector\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Perform construction inspections + Lead and assist with construction administration + Undertake design stage site visits + Prepare civil design drawings and design calculations + Prepare documentation for design projects and reports + Prepare construction cost estimates + Assist in the preparation of project specifications and contract documents + Prepare CAD drawings + Undertake quality control procedures + Assures that all work undertaken by contractor is done is a safe manner and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and regulations + Investigates upcoming work areas for issues or potential issues that may adversely impact construction and takes those steps appropriate to mitigate these impacts + Assures that engineering related issues are promptly relayed to the Project Manager Engineer for action and follows up to assure timeliness of resolution efforts + Coordinates various contractors at points of interface and determines work priorities **Minimum Requirements** + 5\+ years of related experience with civil engineering design and inspection + Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology \(or equivalent\) + Eligible for registration with ASTTBC preferred + Experience working with AutoCAD + Proficient with MS Office Suite + Valid BC Class V Driver's License + Excellent attention to detail + Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clients + Comfortable working in a multi\-disciplinary environment **Preferred Qualifications** + Working knowledge of databases, GIS and hydraulic modeling software + MMCD Contract Administration certification + Good time management skills **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
