More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Environment** Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\. **Job Summary** The Design & Consulting Services Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented **Project Manager** for immediate employment in the Austin, Texas office\. The Austin office has a growing FTIR and optical remote sensing section and the appropriately qualified applicant will serve as a project manager and project lead for this group\. As such, the candidate is expected to have strong business relationships with both Texas\-based and US clientele as well as cultivate additional projects through both existing and new\-client relationships\. The Initial efforts will be focused on developing/hiring talented staff, securing additional project work as well as continual support of existing clients\. AECOM will support the candidate by introducing leads through existing business sectors and project managers\. AECOM will look to the candidate to develop lasting business relationships as well as be responsible for the overall success of multiple projects from cradle to grave\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Research, identify and integrate cutting edge environmental measurement technology into our scope of services by staying abreast on the latest scientific advancements in emissions testing equipment/techniques, and identifying markets for them + Use technical acumen coupled with knowledge of scientific advancements to devise innovative solutions to client problems; this will not only entail use of modern technology/techniques but also further development or integration of these scientific advancements + Collaborate with project teams and project managers throughout the AECOM offices as well as both federal and private sector clients to identify business opportunities and applicable regulations + Securing new business by identifying new opportunities, negotiating contracts and developing winning proposals and presentations + Management of project staff, contracts and budgets **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, or related discipline + 5\+ years of project management experience with emphasis on FTIR instrumentation and infrared spectroscopy + Proven experience in development of winning proposal efforts and leading FTIR and/or remote sensing projects + Excellent presentation, organization and written/communication skill sets + Project Management experience with history of client and business development + Ability to lead, manage and collaborate with a team of scientists and to anticipate/solve problems using creativity and innovation\. + Proficiency in in Microsoft Office suite + Willing to travel up to 45% of the time to project sites both local and remote + This position requires successful completion of the AECOM Project Management Certification program within 6 months of date of hire; this certification program is a series of learning modules and is available on\-line through the AECOM Learning Management System at no financial cost to the employee **Preferred Qualifications** None **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
