Job Description: AECOM is seeking a Data Management Specialist in our Linton, IN location!
Purpose and Scope:
Perform Technical Writing/Data Management tasks within the documentation support area(s) (updating technical manuals, lesson plans, and presentations), support documenting equipment prepare agendas, take notes, and other documentation tasks.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Interface with engineers and technical professionals in the writing, editing, and publication of various types of documents such as test plans, test reports, and survey reports.
2. Track and monitor flow of all documents from inception to distribution of final copies. Identify and correct problem areas as they arise.
3. Provide quality assurance check for all document deliverables.
4. Participate regularly in department and company-wide proposal writing projects. Often serve as proposal coordinator for large production efforts.
5. Utilize appropriate computer software for document text production. Investigate and implement best ways to produce documentation electronically.
6. Establish and maintain electronic and/or hardcopy data library of documents and work order files for documents received for processing.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
