High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent 2. Two years of experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial setting, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Associate’s degree in a skilled trade related to facility maintenance. 2. Experience as a member of a Safety Committee in an industrial, manufacturing, or large research and development facility. 3. Experience Documenting Safety procedures such as Lock Out-Tag Out. 4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites programs. 5. Demonstrated experience developing metrics, data mining, and database management. Additional Information: • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. • This position may require a valid Driver's License. • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. • This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client's location. • This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules. Other Attributes: • Must be willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work holidays and weekends. Physical Requirements: • Requires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. • Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift. • Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift. • Requires the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift. • Requires the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift. • Requires the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift. • Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift. • Requires the use of a Company/Client approved utility knife. • Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding. • Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement. • Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress. Special Requirements: • Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed. • Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained. Job Description: URS, an AECOM company, is seeking a 1st shift Lock Out - Tag Out Technician in East Peoria, IL! Typical work hours are 7:00am-3:30pm; hours may vary based on business demand. This position is responsible for all aspects of Lock Out-Tag Out (LOTO) including, but not limited to, completing dispatched work orders based on priority while maintaining constant customer and management communication. Audits and documents facilities equipment and tests and applies proper LOTO procedures as required. Builds and maintains database of all written procedures. Audits and adjusts all records yearly. Maintains hard copies of all procedures and ensure they are properly archived. Essential Functions: • Creating and editing accurate and detailed LOTO documentation. • Maintaining OSHA compliance through LOTO management. • Assisting in auditing and document facilities equipment and tests. • Assisting LOTO Author in clerical duties pertaining to LOTO procedures. • Auditing and adjusting yearly reports. • Maintaining database of all written procedures. • Archiving past versions of manuals and procedures and ensuring they are properly stored and maintained.
