More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Water** We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\. **Job Summary** AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented junior level User Interface Developer for immediate employment in the Arlington, VA office\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate working knowledge of application design, user experience creation and front end development\. The selected candidate can look forward to projects that include designing experiences for desktop, web and mobile solutions for a variety of government and public sector clients\. Our solutions usually focus on in\-demand domains such as homeland security and emergency response, engineering, and environmental management\. This position has been created through the steady and consistent growth of a Technology Solutions Group that now nears 50 individuals\. Due to the varying nature of our projects, our technology staff grow their skills rapidly since each solution requires new approaches and technology components\. Collaboration to rapidly solve technical issues is encouraged so that group experience is incorporated into our solutions\. Most of the projects have 6 month or less project durations and our staff typically work on multiple projects simultaneously\. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Lead and develop solutions based on user requirements • Transform requirements into their visual equivalents • Developing Drupal sites • Create technical and user documentation • Work with version control systems such as TFS, Git is a plus • Designing mapping applications is a plus • Responsive design technology such as bootstrap • Site structure, navigation, UX principles, wireframes, and user flow • Native mobile and mobile web experience design **Minimum Requirements** + Associate’s degree in graphic design or computer science with a focus on usability or human computer interaction or demonstrated equivalent + 5\+ years of experience in front end development, web design, programming or systems + Experience in design and front end development for desktop, web and mobile devices + Extensive knowledge of the internet/intranet, standard graphics applications, Web\-based programming language, tools and technologies and other design\-related applications including Adobe CS\. Experience with employing usability techniques and implementing usability strategies + Demonstrated ability to transform user requirements into visual translations + Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite \(InDesign, Photoshop, Flash, and Illustrator\) and experience with logo, web, print, and icon design + Demonstrated HTML and JavaScript experience including JQuery and Angular JS + Experience with CSS including CSS preprocessors \(LESS\) + Ability to translate agile software development stories into reusable, composable units of functionality **Preferred Qualifications** None **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
