GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere\. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support\. **Job Summary** AECOM has a nice opportunity for a **Trades Assistant** on our FOSTERS program in Australia\. The Trades Assistant performs maintenance; repair and renovation work in accommodation, office and industrial facilities\. The Trades Assistant also provides support to trades and other personnel, as well as undertaking duties and tasks as required\. Additional responsibilities of the Trades Assistant include, but are not limited to performing a wide range of tasks to support the organization in its undertaking of the OASIS contract requirements; support of trades and other personnel where required; undertake escort duties; undertake regular inspections and tasks within the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and certificate; perform planning of tools, equipment, assistance and materials needed to complete tasks; liiaise with others to notify and organize tasks to be undertaken as required; ensure as much as possible that equipment is maintained to operate in a safe manner; report any incidents to Management as a priority; use of computer systems to record and plan work tasks; undertake all work in safe and professional manner; cable installations; provide RFC support where needed; comply with JDFPG and OASIS policies and procedures and be prepared to work in all areas of Facilities Maintenance as required\. General knowledge of running cables; mostly power and communications\. This is a TDY position\. **Minimum Requirements** + TS/SCI w/poly security clearance required\. + HS Diploma required\. + Valid Driver’s License\. + Relevant experience and training as required\. + Demonstrated ability to plan and organize tasks\. + Understanding of EH&S procedures\. + Able to work professionally with minimal supervision\. **Preferred Qualifications** + Training in appropriate safety procedures \(i\.e\.
