Job Description: AECOM is seeking an Engineering Technologist to join our Norfolk, VA team. 1. Naval electrical systems expertise in support of planning, development, technical review and execution of surface ship availability Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual appendix 4E work specifications. 2. Accomplish ship checks if necessary. Be cognizant of ship specific inspections, assessments, grooms, repairs, troubleshooting, technical assist visit reports, and casualty repairs related to the work specification. Provide written/oral debriefs to the ship's Project Manager, Port Engineer, Project Support Engineer, and MARMC Chief Engineer 3. Verify work specifications are in compliance with JFMM appendix 4E and NAVSEA Standard Items and adequately written to ensure corrective maintenance/repairs are sufficient to clear outstanding Departure From Specifications (DFSs) and/or CASREPs, are in accordance with applicable Technical Assist Visit Reports (TAVRs), and/or restore electrical system to design operation. 4. Familiarity with recording work specification review comments on MARMC Engineering Support Services Request (ESR) forms and updating Navy Maintenance Database (NMD). 5. Perform design, development, or review tasks in specific areas under supervision. 6. Responsible for portions of design, analyses, or design reviews. 7. Assist in generation of specifications and engineering data. 8. Coordinate and support the installation, modification, monitoring, operation, testing, and servicing of equipment and systems at company and client sites. 9. Provide support in the development of technical proposals. 10. Provide support in the maintenance of databases tracking project status and inventory. 11.
