We provide services such as program management, construction management and owner’s representation to our clients around the globe\. **Job Summary** The PMCM Group of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Inspector to support a construction repair project for a high\-profile client in Washington, DC \. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in providing project/construction\-related services for new facilities and renovation projects and have a strong familiarity with stone and masonry repair\. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects\. + During Construction activities and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: + Determine that construction work is in conformance with the design documents + Deliver timely and clear reports concerning construction progress, milestones, and deficiencies + Manage all project communication between design engineer, contractor and owner, attend progress meetings, shop drawing submittal process, change order process, and QA/QC program by managing inspection and documentation of the quality and conformance to work progress and payments to assure that work milestones are being met + Monitor general contractor and subcontractor’s progress + Lead and supervise field staff \(inspectors and QA materials testing firms\) that are assigned to the project + Support Construction Manager in providing leadership and guidance to all internal construction staff + Provide a cursory review of contractor submittals for completeness and compliance with specification requirements, while monitoring and expediting submittal processing + Assist in the review and approval process of submitted RFIs + Interpret contract drawing and specifications to resolve problems or conflicts arising on site + Monitor contractor’s quality program and verify that the required tests and inspections are being performed + Monitor contractor’s safety program for compliance and conduct monthly safety walks with safety personnel + Review test and inspection reports submitted by the contractor, identifying nonconforming results and coordinating resolution + Build effective working relationships with both internal and external clients + Support Construction Manager in Policy/Procedure Development for Construction + Verify contractor progress payment applications + Manage final acceptance \(project close\-out\), coordinate the final stages of construction, including contractors’ punch lists, equipment startup, testing, commissioning, final acceptance and final payment process **Minimum Requirements** + High School Diploma or equivalent + 5\+ years of relevant industry experience on new construction or renovation projects as an inspector + Thorough understanding of inspection procedures, methods, principles and techniques of construction practices and building materials, technology and equipment construction practices, equipment and materials used in the execution of projects + Experience leading project meetings at the site + Experience with stone and masonry repair + Excellent communications skills + Experience with project management software systems, such as Prolog, Expedition, Constructware + Experience with QA / QC **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience working on Federal projectS + Experience with stone and masonry repair **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
