Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\.
**Job Summary** AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Civil/Environmental/Geotechnical Engineer to provide technical input as part of project teams who will be working on planning, evaluation, design and implementation of large\-scale civil/environmental engineering projects\. The team is responsible for a wide range of designs and evaluations typically centering on the permitting, evaluation, design, and construction administration of civil/environmental engineering projects\.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Project Manager and will demonstrate task management capabilities and exhibit problem solving skills\. Projects will be performed under the direction of the Group or Program Manager in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Group\. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Work with existing clients and assist in pursuing new business/development opportunities in the civil\-environmental market segments
+ Coordinate and manage project tasks; monitor and review the technical progress of these tasks
+ Manage junior\-level staff to successfully execute project tasks
+ Support the Project and Program Managers
+ Technical writing and oral presentations
+ Engage and work with regulatory agencies
+ Independently prepare accurate and concise technical reports
+ Be proactive in risk management, specifically as relating to technical, cost/schedule, and safety risks
+ Cost Estimating
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Geotechnical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
+ Minimum 10\+ years of relevant experience
+ EIT Certification Required
+ Experience in the planning/evaluation, design, permitting and construction aspects of civil and environmental engineering projects, including most or all of the following technical aspects: solid waste management \(industrial and/or municipal\); coal\-combustion residual \(CCR\) management; site civil design/development; stormwater management; environmental permitting; industrial pond design/closure; construction package development \(including design drawings, calculation packages, cost estimation, specifications development and familiarity with construction procurement processes\)
+ Ability to guide and direct junior\-level staff
+ Experience managing staff and technical teams for project tasks
+ Experience with preparation of scopes of work, project budgeting, scheduling, and business/development
+ Experience with proposal development, client interactions and client relations
+ Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3\-D
+ Strong Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
+ Excellent Verbal and technical/report writing Skills
+ Qualified applicants must demonstrate excellent writing, analytical, communication, and organization skills\.
+ Successful applicant must also demonstrate ability to work as part of multidisciplinary groups and also independently with little supervision
