Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Engineer Intern (EIT) - State of Ohio
• Minimum 4 years experience working on water resources projects, with an emphasis in wastewater collection, storm water conveyance and/or water distribution projects
• Experience with hydraulic design calculations for water distribution, wastewater collection and storm water conveyance systems
• Requires successful completion of entry level planning and design tasks for water resources projects; assist Project Manager and/or Project Engineer as directed on project development tasks
• Must be able to perform utility design tasks on AutoCAD Civil 3D; possess user skills for Word Processing programs
• Valid driver's license required
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
Job Description: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Perform hydraulic design calculations for water distribution, wastewater collection and storm water conveyance projects
• Utility design and layout in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Sewer system evaluation surveys and condition assessments including infrastructure rehabilitation design
• Contact and coordinate with utility companies on potential conflicts
• Assist project manager/project engineer in preparation of comprehensive planning documents
• Assist project manager/project engineer in development of construction documents to include plan and profile drawings and technical specifications
• Complete regulatory permit applications
• Begin to interact directly with client to gather information and discuss project requirements
• Participate in limited marketing efforts and business development
• Assist in determining schedule and budget requirements
