Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business, Education, Public-health, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience. Graduate degree in a related discipline without any work experience may enter at this level.
• Demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience
• Must have excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills and experience in handling multiple tasks in an organized and efficient manner.
• Field office work will require reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a good driving record
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
Physical Demands
• General office environment; required visits to project sites
• Some heavy lifting (<30 lbs) may be required
Job Description: The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Performs a range of transportation demand management, marketing, and planning-related projects, aimed at enhancing opportunities for individual travelers, commuters, and/or students to utilize non-drive-alone means of transportation, including carpooling, vanpooling, public transit, bicycling, walking, teleworking, and other options
• Develops, promotes, and/or implements a range of worksite and/or schools-based operational programs aimed at improving business operations and/or reducing on-site pollutants, to improve overall air quality and mitigate traffic congestion
• Determines the appropriate sources and methods for the accumulation of research related to assignments
• Provides TDM services to employers, schools, travelers, students, and others
• Summarizes TDM information and prepares draft presentation papers or research reports
• Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced TDM professional
• Assignments usually include one or more of the following: Research, TDM outreach, or public relations and other activities of limited scope requiring knowledge of TDM principles and techniques commonly utilized
• Conducts peer reviews and makes technical presentations
