**Job Summary** This is a unique opportunity to join a highly skilled urban systems advisory team in Sydney\. The urban systems advisory team at AECOM seeks to effectively optimise the urban development or infrastructure design decisions for our clients\. The services we offer are generally aligned to clients’ needs at the early stage of the design cycle and are focussed on setting directions and optimising projects for clients on the tipple bottom line
**Minimum Requirements** •Qualifications in environmental science, sustainability, urban planning or engineering\.
•Ability to establish and maintain/grow strategic partnerships and relationships with internal and external stakeholders and clients\.
•Maintain the highest standards of quality, timeliness, customer service and technical excellence in support of the reputation and brand of AECOM\.
•Demonstrated experience in working with multidisciplinary teams\.
•A client facing and outcome oriented approach to project delivery\.
•Demonstrated experience and passion for environmental or sustainability consulting\.
•Demonstrated experience in preparing technical design documentation\.
•Ability to achieve and maintain high levels of quality and consistency of outputs\.
•Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for quality of deliverables and meeting deadlines\.
•Excellent communication skills in all media – written, presentational, facilitation\.
•Willing to travel as required\.
**Preferred Qualifications** **Key Responsibilities**
•Developing options for sustainable and efficient supply and use of energy, materials and water for urban development or infrastructure clients\.
•Modelling the functionality, integrity, resilience and environmental sustainability of buildings and infrastructure systems in order to optimise project outcomes\.
•Land use and infrastructure project analysis and optimisation using whole of life analysis and triple bottom line assessment\.
•Applying a range of AECOM international tools and processes to projects in the local Australian market\. This includes the application of the AECOM Sustainable Systems Integration Model \(SSIMtm\)
•Actively seeking and working with major infrastructure projects to assist in setting direction for IS ratings or urban development projects with Green Star Communities ratings\.
•Establish and maintaining/growing strategic partnerships and relationships with internal and external stakeholders and clients\.
•Provide technical support for the growing advisory team in developing the urban development sustainability and infrastructure sustainability service offering\. This is likely to include a range of sustainability consulting advice for a variety of projects in the built environment including:
•Infrastructure such as light and heavy rail, renewable energy plants, district energy plants, highways, tunnels, water treatment plants;
•Precincts and master plans such as growth corridors surrounding major infrastructure development, greenfield cities and towns, urban regeneration and revitalisation projects;
•Undertake technical sustainability investigations to support the Infrastructure Sustainability \(IS\), Building sustainability, Sustainable Systems Integration Model \(SSIMtm\) and Green Star Communities service offers\.
•Depending on projects may require an understanding of life cycle costing, life cycle environmental impact assessment, social return on investment, energy/carbon modelling, water balance modelling, climate change risk assessment and adaptation strategy, and net present value cash flow analysis\.
