More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Environment** Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\. **Job Summary** AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Technical Editor for immediate employment for the Seattle, WA office\. This position is a variable part\-time project\-hire and work days and times will be determined on an as\-needed basis\. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below: + Oversees development and maintenance of office editorial decisions + Develops project or document\-specific style guides and editorial standards + Interpret directives regarding revisions and formatting of technical documents + Gather and organize information and data for use in technical writing + Coordinate with staff from various departments on specification requirements + Recommend reference materials, formats, and system improvements relative to technical documents + Compose complex and original technical documents and/or make intricate additions and corrections to existing technical documents + Performs substantive editing for complex, multi\-author or high\-profile documents + Manages complex, multi\-author, multi\-document projects + Interviews authors, as needed, for additional information or clarification + Provide suggestions to management and staff on formatting and content of technical documents + Co\-ordinates with relevant professionals and managers, as needed, to assure details are correct and complete + Writes specifications and other technical documents + Works under close supervision + Follows specific standardized procedures to achieve set results and deadlines + Confirm documentation with related departments\. + Oversee the production and distribution of materials + Implement and follow company procedures **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Liberal Arts or related field + 5\+ years' editorial experience in the technical areas of IE + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Must be detail oriented, thorough, well organized and effectively manage time **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience managing complex multi\-document projects a plus **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
