More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Water** We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\. **Job Summary** We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our busy and expanding Water Resources team in our centrally located Croydon office\. As a Senior Water Resources Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a challenging mix of local and international projects in flood risk management, water sensitive urban design, development infrastructure, water management and a variety of multidisciplinary schemes\. Your main responsibilities will include: • Assisting with the business development strategy and providing support on work winning\. • Lead and manage a range of projects including Local Flood Risk Management Strategies, Surface Water Management Plans, Flood Risk Assessment and flood alleviation schemes\. • Working with both private and public sector clients\. • Utilising both traditional and design and construct approaches\. • Contribute using your engineering, drainage, hydrology, water resources, hydraulics and broader environmental impact experience\. • Supervise and provide technical support to other team members\. • Some travel mainly in the UK but also with potential for some overseas\. **Minimum Requirements** • Proven track record of delivering successful projects and developing good working relationship with clients and key stakeholders\. • Outline and detail design experience in water/flood risk management related projects\. • Previous experience working in the EA frameworks \(NEECA, WEM\)\. • Experience in flood risk management at site specific as well as strategic scale \(FRAs, SWMPs, SFRAs, etc\.\)\. • Experience in the design of Sustainable Drainage Systems \(SUDS\) as well as a good understanding of the latest legislation/best practice\. • Experience in undertaking negotiations with key stakeholders such as the Environment Agency and Local Authorities\. • Robust understanding of Flood Risk Management including current legislation and the Flood and Water Management Act\. • Experience in hydraulic modelling \- capable of instructing/overseeing modellers based in other offices\. • Experience in the production of bids for a variety of clients\. • Knowledge of GIS packages \(MapInfo, ArcView\)\. **Preferred Qualifications** • Degree educated in a relevant subject such a Civil or Water Engineering, ideally to MEng level or equivalent\. • Either a Chartered Engineer with ICE, CIWEM or equivalent, or nearing Chartered status\. **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
