GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere\. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world\. GSS supports the U\.S\. Government, non\-U\.S\. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support\. **Job Summary** The SACM Specialist is responsible for the process to ensure that Configuration Items \(CI’s\) required to deliver services are properly controlled, and that accurate and reliable information about those CI’s is available when and where it is needed\. The SACM Specialist will have experience and an understanding of the ITIL framework and be able to apply best practices and continual service improvement to SACM process\. He / She will work alongside other Service Management process owners to ensure contract deliverables are being managed and metrics are being produced showing value to the Government customer and contract leadership\. Day\-to\-day activities include server room management, asset database management, configuration baseline and relationship management, Change Advisory Board \(CAB\) membership, voting and documenting changes to CI’s via the currently approved service management tool\. Responsibilities: + Maintain CI documentation of all physical/virtual systems and storage devices including arrays, switches/routers, servers, tape libraries and interconnecting cables + Provide server room technical support to application administrators + Ensure availability and security of the CMDB and software library + Aid in the planning and implementation of changes + Provide aid to determine root cause analysis when needed + Capacity management in the server room environment + Warranty and lifecycle management of CI’s + Tracking the implementation of new technologies in the customer’s environment + Satisfy all Service Delivery Summaries applicable to the reporting group + Willingness to work on weekends and holidays to meet business requirements including 24X7 support \(e\.g\. on\-call\) **Minimum Requirements** + US citizen with a current DoD Secret clearance + Security \+ certification + ITIL V3 Foundation Certification, DoD 8570 certification + Management of a Configuration Management Database \(CMDB\) + Ability to develop custom reports and conduct auditing of the data within the CMDB\. + Experience analyzing processes and recommending changes in policy, methods, and procedures + Ability to interact regularly with the customer and management\. + Experience utilizing various software applications such as: - Microsoft Office products \(Visio, PowerPoint, Excel\) - Microsoft Access experience is a bonus - BMC Remedy Action Request System + General familiarity with functions of various technical equipment types from workstations to routers and switches to servers\. **Preferred Qualifications** + Knowledge of IT Information Library \(ITIL\) fundamentals + Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
