Requisition Number: IE103573 Interest Category: Construction Interest Sub Category: Construction Services Job Title : Assistant Office Engineer Employment Category/Status: full-time Type of Position: Regular Hire Country: U.S. State: New York City: New York Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in related field or demonstrated equivalent • Minimum 1 year of responsible experience in construction/systems, or relevant field • Strong PC computer skills with basic knowledge of database, budgeting and CPM scheduling software • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test Job Description: This positions is part of the Construction Management team on the MTA Capital Construction East Side Access Project, a multi-billion dollar rail improvement project improving mobility within the Long Island Transportation Corridor-specifically commuter rail access between Long Island and the East Side of Midtown Manhattan. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: • Assists Office Engineer with administration for specific ESA construction or systems contracts, submittals processing and tracking, correspondence, filing, document control, communications and office management • Receives incoming submittals and correspondence and processes, including document control system entry • Receives and processes comments from reviewers before sending submittals back to contractor • Assists Office Engineer with maintaining tracking system for all correspondence, submittals, deliverables, FCR, NCR, DR and RFI • Prepares status reports as required • Develops transmittals and correspondence • Maintains Correspondence Log • Provides copying as required • Prepares meeting minutes • Prepares BIC reports for submittals and correspondence • Assists cost/schedule engineer and contract administrator • Coordinates with Office Services Supervisor for any malfunction of office equipment AECOM is a premier, fully integrated professional and technical services firm positioned to design, build, finance and operate infrastructure assets around the world for public- and private-sector clients.
