**About the Business Line** **Building Engineering**
We deliver creative solutions for building projects for industry, government, commercial and leisure sectors\. Our building engineering specialists have expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering, acoustics, facades and seismic design\. **Job Summary** In conjunction with the client and the AECOM client consultant, this individual will liaise with the contractor, design team and clinical team and demonstrate proficiencies in procurement of medical equipment and technical specifications\. This position requires coordination and communication with Owners mechanical/electrical consultants, contractors and vendors\. This individual will be involved in all phases of healthcare design including transition planning within the P3 healthcare market\. Strong project management skills are required\. Prior experience in Biomed, Nursing, Medical Equipment Sales, Facilities or healthcare construction projects is a plus\.
The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Attending and Conducting required meeting related to Equipment Planning healthcare projects
+ Executing all phases of Medical Equipment Planning Processes
+ Assess and provide internal and external direction in the planning, procurement, and coordination of all medical equipment requirements
+ Developing and Managing equipment budgets
+ Documenting existing equipment inventories
+ Conducting User Meetings with client
+ Utilizing Floor Plans/Elevation Drawings for Equipment Planning
+ Coordinating and Distributing detailed Equipment Specifications/Installation Instructions
+ Work with CAD/BIM operators in developing equipment layouts
+ Establish Procurement Strategies, Distribute RFQ’s, Analyze Quotations, Prepare Purchase Orders, Confirm/Track deliveries, Coordinate both Contractor and Owner Installations
+ Supervise Equipment Warehousing, Installation, and Owner Acceptance
+ Support closeout documentation for healthcare construction projects
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent
+ Minimum 3\+ years of experience
+ Strong written and oral communication skills
+ Knowledge of Autocad/BIM and Attania or similar database software
+ Detailed knowledge of medical equipment and the effect of said equipment on the detailed design of a building
+ Ability to read M&E and Shop drawings
+ Project management and transition planning experience is an asset
+ Strong leadership skills required
+ Ability to travel within and outside of Canada
