**Job Summary** AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Engineer – Highways for immediate employment in the Conshohocken, PA office\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in civil / highway design and management of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation \(PennDOT\) projects\. This Project Engineer will assist with technical oversight and staff management for a large, multi\-phase reconstruction project in the City of Philadelphia\.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Reviews civil / highway design reports and calculations, including but not limited to horizontal and vertical geometry, superelevation, sight distance, drainage, stormwater management, guide rail, and pavement design
+ Reviews highway project plans, including but not limited to roadway construction, traffic control, signing and pavement markings, erosion and sediment pollution control, right\-of\-way, and cross sections
+ Prepares / reviews bid packages in PennDOT’s ECMS system, including quantities, items, fund codes, construction schedules, and special provisions
+ Manages staff engineers with respect to workload, project schedule, and budget
+ Coordinates with sub consultants and other discipline leads for structures, geotechnical, water resources, lighting, traffic, and Intelligent Transportation Systems \(ITS\)
+ Attends meetings with client, public, other consultants, and projectstakeholders
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or appropriate discipline
+ Registration and designation as a Professional Engineer \(PE\) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
+ Minimum 5\+ years of relevant experience in highway design and major transportation project development
+ Basic knowledge of industry\-standard computer software, such as Microstation, InRoads, Highway Capacity Software, AutoTab, and AutoTurn
+ Must be proficient in standard office computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
