More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Water** We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\. **Job Summary** The Water Resources Department of AECOM is actively seeking a **Water Resources Engineer** for immediate employment in the Albuquerque, New Mexico office\. The successful candidate will provide surface water modeling and design support for stormwater control structures\. The position will involve working on projects for local municipalities, federal agencies, and private clients to conduct hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and civil design\. AECOM offers significant growth potential for the motivated individual\. Individual development can occur in the areas of project management, client account management, marketing leadership, and business operations management\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Perform and/or direct surface water modeling, mapping, and design of stormwater and flood control structures + Perform and/or direct design of stormwater control facilities including: detention/retention ponds and open channels + Direct and review documentation of calculations + Prepare engineering reports + Manage projects and tasks of varying complexity **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field + Certified Professional Engineer in New Mexico + 5\+ years of experience in surface water modeling and design + Exhibits in\-depth knowledge of surface water modeling, planning and design projects and related technologies + Ability to communicate the technical aspects of projects to a wide audience + Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills + Hydrologic and Hydraulic Modeling Software \(HEC\-1, HEC\-HMS, HEC\-RAS\), AutoCAD and Civil3D + Strong communication \(written and oral\) and organization skills + Demonstrate the ability to work in local teams as well as the flexibility to work as part of inter\-office groups **Preferred Qualifications** + Local Candidates Preferred **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
