More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Energy** We address the complete spectrum of energy challenges, including clean and renewable energy, energy efficiency and carbon management, hydropower and dams, thermal, geothermal and wind power generation, and transmission and distribution\. **Job Summary** The Design Services Consulting Group \(DCS\) of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented environmental, health and safety \(EHS\) compliance professional for immediate hire in the Morrisville, NC office\. The appropriate qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in EHS compliance and auditing, relevant EHS permit package preparation, client interaction, report preparation, excellent client/peer communication skills and agency coordination\. This position has a great potential for career growth\. The successful candidate will be part of a diverse team of engineers and scientists that are responsible for EHS compliance and permitting in the Southeast Region with emphasis on Power projects in the Carolinas and possibly in Tennessee\. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Conduct environmental, health and safety \(EHS\) compliance audits at industrial and commercial facilities as well as prepare necessary EHS permits • Manage EHS regulatory compliance programs for Power Utilities, Fortune 500 and multi\-national clients • Understand applicable EHS regulations, prepare and provide summary of relevant requirements • Successful candidate will be able to work independently or as part of a team • Strong organizational skills a must; as well as skills in communication, technical writing and facility compliance audits **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor's degree in safety, health or industrial hygiene, environmental engineering or demonstrated equivalenT + 5\+ years of relevant experience with environmental, health and safety compliance/permitting related to private \(commercial, industrial, power, oil/gas, rail, manufacturing\) and public sector clients + An understanding of USEPA Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Process Safety Management \(PSM\) and OSHA construction safety + Permitting skills and knowledge of federal and state EHS regulations + Must be highly organized and detailed oriented + Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor + Must be able to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and follow through to achieve project results + Ability to generate cohesive reports and presentation independently + Ability to coordinate real time activities and priorities + Effective written and oral communication skills + Experience working in a highly demanding fast\-paced environment with confidential information + Ability to think and act independently and strategically + Highest degree of integrity, professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion required + Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively and meet tight deadlines + Must demonstrate good judgment and decision making capabilities + Must be a resourceful and independent thinker + Must be a self\-starter with excellent prioritization skills + Experienced working with all levels in a corporate environment + Proactive and effective ideas on improving performances, procedures, and protocols + Must have a valid driver's license **Preferred Qualifications** None **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
