Requires excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, writing skills and aptitude for details. Requires operating application software including word-processing and spreadsheets. Requires a valid driver's license and a good driving record. Successfully passing a Pre-employment drug screen is also required. Job Description: • Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, Production Control Supervisor performs the following tasks in accordance with Policies and Procedures required controlling the purchasing, control and movement of material from material release through assembly and kitting. • Maintain the Production Schedule to accurately reflect due dates and quantities for material release requirements, fabrication and assemblies, kitting, inspection and shipping, as well as actual completion dates. • Work Orders and outsourcing and tracking to assure timely receipt to meet delivery requirements; and confers with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue and to locate or expedite material. • Coordinates and expedites flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors, priorities. • Requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material. • Arranges for inter-theater transfer of materials when required to meet production schedules, coordinating necessary approvals between Managers. • Coordinate inter-department efforts to assure conformance to program schedules and timely completion of program deliverables. • Maintain the Parts database The Logistics Information Systems (LIS) will be used to plan, schedule, control, and process all maintenance requests for repair or service. Knowledge of governing programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or established guidelines. Analytical ability to define problems, collect necessary data and establish facts and to take or recommend action based upon applicable established guidelines. The Production Control Supervisor – Quality is one of the major keys to the maintenance operations success. Provides general support of continuous improvement initiatives, maintenance management and leadership techniques; facilitates application of those techniques. Develop, execute, maintain reviews, and comments on maintenance support plans, policies, procedures and similar data. Collect, review, and recommend introduction of new tools, management methods, and leadership techniques to enhance overall team performance. Develop, implement, and monitor maintenance strategies, processes, and initiatives to establish a systemic, efficient, standardized approach to all maintenance operations. Demonstrates the ability to develop and apply new systems, processes, or techniques that contribute to the achievement of maintenance activity goals. The ability to write SQL is highly desirable Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, kneeling, standing and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizational skills and must be able to work under deadlines.
