AECOM’s Global Support Services \(GSS\) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs\. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere\. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world\. GSS supports the U\.S\. Government, non\-U\.S\. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support\.
**Job Summary**
AECOM has an exciting opportunity as a **Wheel Technical Inspector** in Afghanistan on the MOSC\-A contract\. The Inspector performs inspections on different classifications of wheeled vehicles/equipment at the unit and DS/GS levels\. Conducts initial inspections upon delivery of equipment and records data information for the processing of maintenance work orders, in\-progress inspections as required during the repair phase, and a final inspection upon completion of maintenance repairs to ensure quality product outputs are met\. Prepares records of inspection/tests and makes them available to the Maintenance Department when required\. Verifies procedures being used are adequate for the effective control of quality, rejects defective workmanship and materials and verifies and certifies the test results on supporting documents\. Provides guidance and technical assistance to shop maintenance personnel on inspection principles of workmanship, procedures to be employed, and quality of work expected\. Ensures compliance with government and corporate regulations, company’s SOP, directives, and technical manuals to establish and maintain a quality management program\. Coordinates with Shop Supervisor when technical problems arise and in\-depth mechanical knowledge is required\. Cross trains when required to ensure maximum flexibility and possession of technical skills\. Performs other duties as assigned\.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required\.
+ 4 years of wheeled vehicle maintenance experience at the DS and GS levels required\.
+ Must be able to pass QC Inspector PQS test within 30 days of hire\.
+ Must be able to read vehicle schematics\.
+ Requires a collaborative work style that fosters cooperation and team work\.
+ Driver’s license required\.
+ Must have active NACI\.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ 1 year experience as a maintenance inspector preferred
