**Job Summary** The Transportation Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Bridge Engineer for immediate employment in the Richmond Hill, Ontario office\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Structural Engineering, specific to new and rehabilitation bridge design\.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
+ Undertake structural analysis, calculations and prepare design sketches and drawings for design of new bridges and rehabilitation of the existing bridges
+ Conduct engineering assessment and structural evaluations of the existing structures
+ Supervise technical staff in preparation of structural design drawings and specifications
+ Provide guidance and supervise junior engineers in preparation of structural design calculations
+ Prepare proposals and budget estimates for potential design assignments
+ Liase/co\-ordinate work with other disciplines/departments in preparation of proposals, reports and design packages for multi\-disciplinary projects
+ Communicate with clients, sub\-consultants, approving agencies, etc\. for purpose of obtaining design information, presenting design alternatives and expending approvals
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Minimum Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university or related field\.A focus on structural based courses
+ Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario
+ 8 to 10 years of structural design experience with minimum 3 years of experience in bridge rehabilitation
+ Working knowledge of software’s for structural analysis and design \(SAP 2000, CSi Bridge, Midas\)
+ Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
+ Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is an asset
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Familiar with Canadian Bridge Design Code \(CHBDC\)
+ Familiar with Ministry of Transportation of Ontario procedures and manuals, such as Structural Manual, Rehabilitation Manual, Inspection Manual, Culvert Manual, etc\.
+ Familiar with the Ministry’s Contract Documents Preparation System \(CPS\)
