Our global network of top\-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries\. **Job Summary** We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced **Associate Director \- Transport Planning** for our business in Liverpool\. This post is to support the ongoing growth of the transportation team, with a focus on policy, appraisal and planning\. This exciting opportunity will provide the right individual with a platform to further develop their career alongside the growth in our business in the region and contribute to the wider AECOM Transport Planning offer\. The successful candidate will need a proven track record in project management, work winning, delivery and an ability to work across a business serving a wide and varied marketplace\. The candidate will also need a solid technical capability across the transport planning field covering areas such as transport policy and strategy, business case development, public transport planning, scheme appraisal and assessment\. The AECOM North West team has an established track record of successfully delivering a wide variety of projects to local, regional and national clients\. Our Liverpool office is centrally located and accommodates multidisciplinary transportation teams across planning/development/traffic/roads/bridges/rail and ports and marine capabilities\. Job Responsibilities: The appropriate level of technical expertise is required in order that the Job/Project Accountabilities listed below can be carried out to the necessary standards • Identify and respond to opportunities, prepare fee proposal for submission to client, including resources and programme\. • Act as Project Manager, with a responsibility for delivering projects within timescale, budget constraints and quality expectations\. • Support in the development of staff and assist in training and mentoring with a particular focus on assisting staff gain professional accreditation\. • Assist in the development and implementation of business strategies\. • Contribute to the wider transport planning business across the region\. • Support national and regional managers in the monthly reporting process of the company **Minimum Requirements** You will have a relevant degree and will be a Chartered Engineer or will be working towards an appropriate Chartered status with membership of a professional institution\. • Experience of delivering technically challenging transport planning projects • Experience of working with the public sector and knowledge of frameworks • Knowledge of the market and potential clients in the region • Mentoring staff • Understanding of Health and Safety requirements • Proficiency in the development of scheme business cases • Appreciation of transport planning best practice such as use of WebTAG • Experience of working on a variety of projects as project leader with experience of dealing directly with clients **Preferred Qualifications** • Educated to degree/masters level • Professional Accreditation \(or actively working towards\) TPP or CEng or equivalent **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
