Title Manager Position Number 26619 Company WA River Protection Solutions Location Posted 06/22/2015 Closes 06/23/2015 Regular/Temporary Regular Job Responsibilities/Duties Role: The Safe Work Environment (SWE) Program Manager is responsible for the effective implementation of the SWE program throughout the entire WRPS organization. This includes ensuring a work environment exists where employees feel free to raise safety issues, through what ever avenue they feel comfortable with, without fear of retaliation (Safety Conscious Work Environment or SCWE). Responsibilities: - Comply with WRPS policies and procedures - Ensure ISMS Principles are incorporated into organization's activities - Maintaining a SWE program that is compliant and consistent with DOE requirements and best practices. - Implementation of SWE related employee surveys - Conduct of internal SWE related assessments - POC for external SWE related assessments - Ensuring effective SWE related training - Ownership and control for the SWE improvement strategy - Implementation of SWE related improvements to institutionalize and reinforce SWE program elements and ISMS expectations - Generation and use of SWE related performance indicators - Program support for the Safety Culture Monitoring Panel - Prepare and conduct SWE related training sessions with employees, managers, new hires, and make business presentations when required. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business or a Technical discipline and at least 12 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated ability to handle organizational issues with a high degree of personal ethics and integrity. Familiarity with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) or Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) safety culture program. Desired Qualifications Masters degree in related organizational field is desirable. Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Word and the use of information databases. Involvement with EFCOG safety culture group is desirable.
