Qualifications
• Tertiary level qualification in chemical or environmental engineering, or other appropriate engineering discipline.
• Minimum 4 to 8 years of relevant experience will only be considered.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence (essential)
• Registration and designation as a Professional Engineer (PE) may be required to enable assignment flexibility
Skills
• Process design in water or wastewater for municipal and industrial industries.
• Process simulation using software such as BioWin, GPS-X, etc.
• Ability to work with moderate supervision.
• Ability to interface with other disciplines.

Job Description: Position Summary
The Process Engineer will work as part of the Water & Infrastructure Group in the Melbourne office and will be responsible for conducting process engineering assignments, which may range from site investigations, plant trials, conceptual design to detailed design activities, within clearly defined parameters and standards under general direction.
Responsibilities / Objectives
• Undertaking process calculations/simulation, sizing of equipment, development of PFDs, P&IDs and plant layout.
• Assist in the preparation of; reports, data sheets, technical specifications, capital and operating cost estimates.
• Assist in the preparation of; proposals, tenders and statements of qualifications.
• Liaise with suppliers, clients, and other discipline engineers concerning the design, feasibility study aspects of the assign work.
• Participate in the planning of projects as required.
• Assist in checking calculations undertaken by Junior Engineers when required.
• Assist Principal Process Engineer in providing support and guidance to Junior Engineers.
• Review work to ensure conformity with policy and coordination with other functions.
• Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Customer Services Group.
• Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the team, projects, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
• Participate in business development activities
• May be required on occasion to conduct field work. Travel from home may be required
• Deliver project services in accordance with URS Health & Safety systems, Quality Assurance systems, as well as local regulations.
