**About the Business Line** **Water**
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\.
**Job Summary** **Role Overview:**
Sound infrastructure asset management practice is recognised by AECOM as being increasingly important to the owners and managers of asset networks and facilities\. Asset management is essential in the context of current fiscal constraints coupled with ageing infrastructure\. It supports the efficient and effective operation and management of infrastructure networks, and the planning, design and delivery of multi\-disciplinary capital works programs\.
The Community Infrastructure segment covers a diverse range of infrastructure assets including roads, water supply, wastewater, buildings, stormwater, airports and recreation facilities\. The role will span across a number of market sectors including Local Government, Water Entities, Health, Defence, State Road Authorities, Maritime & Port Authorities, Rail and Aviation\. Individuals who have works on a number of asset classes in one or more of these sectors will be highly regarded\.
This position will play a key role in providing strategic asset management services to public sector and private sector clients\. The role requires an individual with strong client engagement skills, demonstrated previous asset management experience at a tactical and strategic level and a strong knowledge of contemporary asset management practice\. The individual will have the ability to win and deliver projects and to support the broader asset management capability across AECOM in Australia and NZ and by harnessing required specialised skills and capability across the business to meet project and client needs\.
The role will have strong engagement with the external market and internal business lines to assist in building our Asset Management capability and capacity across Northern & Western Australia and the broader AECOM business\. Demonstrated capability and experience in preparation of asset management plans, review and definition of service levels, asset condition assessment including risk and criticality, operational and capital works budget development & programming and asset optimisation on large asset networks will be necessary to excel in the role\.
**Minimum Requirements** **Key Responsibilities:**
•Provide sound technical advice in relation to the requirements of the role\.
•Prepare and review reports and other deliverables to a high standard\.
•Provide innovative and practical solutions to meet client expectations\.
•Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget to agreed quality and technical standards\.
•Ensure compliance of all projects to QA and technical standards\.
•Understanding & ability to apply ISO55000 principles on projects for clients
•Contribute to the strategic direction of AECOM’s capabilities in this field\.
•Prepare written proposals and perform effective business development with current and potential clients\.
•Travel inter\-State and nationally, as required\.
**Preferred Qualifications** **Key Requirements:**
•Appropriate tertiary qualification OR >10 years relevant professional experience
•Strong client engagement skills and communication skills
•Demonstrated ability to independently author high quality technical reports
•Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and meeting delivery requirements
•Previous relevant experience in roles responsible for tactical and strategic level asset management practices over a number of asset classes
•Experience in successfully leading project teams
•Demonstrated capability and experience including preparation of AM plans, asset condition assessments, service level definition & review, future demand forecasting, development of operational and capital investment plans,
•Knowledge of current Asset Management Systems and software
•Knowledge of current Asset Management Standards, Publications and contemporary Asset Management practice e\.g\. ISO 55000, IIMM
•Experience Identifying critical assets & business risks
•Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
