More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Water** We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\. **Job Summary** The Jackson, MS AECOM office is currently seeking a creative, talented Hydraulic Engineer to join our growing Water Group\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling \(1D and 2D\) especially near structures such as bridges or dams + Perform bridge scour analyses + Perform drainage design + Prepare design and analysis reports + Work with the staff engineers to develop preliminary bridge layouts and drainage plans + Coordinate and work with other AECOM engineers and clients to obtain, develop and present project designs + Under close supervision from a professional, makes technical assumptions and thinks independently to complete assigned work **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field + Certified Engineering Intern \(EIT\) by successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam \(FE\) + Minimum 2 years experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of open channel or closed conduit systems + Individuals with a Master's or PhD degree in water resources engineering or related field, with no experience, may enter at this level + Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software packages such as HEC\-HMS, HEC\-RAS, HY\-8, PCSWMM, or SRH\-2D + Must be able to apply previously gained knowledge and skills in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling + Must be able to successfully work within a team as well as self\-motivate to complete tasks **Preferred Qualifications** + Local Candidates **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
