**About the Business Line** **Environment**
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\.
**Job Summary** This position is part of the AECOM Deepwater, NJ office\. The team is responsible for a wide range of investigative work, which consists of approximately 8 staff with various years of experience\. The candidate will be required to perform groundwater and soil sampling, conduct pilot tests for various cleanup technologies, coordinate with other site contractors, oversee maintenance of active remediation systems, and assist with sampling programs\. Successful candidate will need to have the ability to troubleshoot problems with mechanical remediation and sampling systems and coordinate necessary repairs\.
This position will be part of a two person sampling team that will perform a wide variety of field activities directed by senior level project managers, geologists, and technical leads\. The candidate will also work individually to coordinate remediation projects with subcontractors\.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
+ Groundwater, soil, sediment, and vapor sampling
+ Oversee well development
+ Perform general labor and light construction duties as required
+ Data tabulation and review
+ Database input
+ Assist with GIS/ CAD data collection
+ Technical writing of field memos and reports
+ Possible supervision of subcontractors for routine field activities including well installation/ repairs, excavation activities, pump repair/ replacement, and vacuum truck events
+ Assist with environmental site investigations and remediation
+ Coordinate with site staff, contractors, and laboratories
+ Perform other field related duties as assigned by project managers
**Minimum Requirements** •Bachelor’s degree in science or related field required
•Must be able to perform basic computer functions such as Microsoft Office/ Outlook
•Position requires effective time management skills, analytical interpretation, written communications, and contract coordination
•A valid driver’s license is required
•Candidate must pass initial criminal background check and periodic drug screening tests
•OSHA 40 hour training will be required, company will provide training
•The candidate will need to have the ability to carry heavy equipment and perform field work
•Travel up to 10% may be required
**Preferred Qualifications** •Proficient in Microsoft Office
•Ability to perform physical tasks \(lifting, working outdoors, etc\.\)
•Minimum 1 year of experience
