Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\.
**Job Summary**
The Design Consulting Services \(DSC\) Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Mid\-level Environmental Professional for immediate employment our Environmental Impact Assessment and Permitting Group in Houston, Texas\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in providing environmental permitting expertise for oil and gas development, pipeline, and other linear corridor projects\. This position includes a range of technical, project management, and business development responsibilities, including the following: Support project management activities on a variety of environmental permitting projects; Support business developing opportunities with AECOM’s private sector clients in the Oil and Gas industry with a focus on environmental planning and permitting opportunities for pipeline and other energy sector clients; Assist with proposal efforts for major project opportunities in conjunction with the regional and national pipeline teams; Provide task lead technical support for projects to include performing research; compiling plans, reports, and permit applications \(e\.g\., EAs, EISs, other NEPA and FERC documents, resource management plans, habitat conservation, water quality plans, land use plans, socioeconomic studies, and archeological studies\); tracking regulatory development; inspecting construction areas; conducting training; and conducting field surveys\.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology, or equivalent\. Professional registration and/or certification, as applicable\.
+ Minimum four years of relevant environmental permitting, compliance, monitoring, or auditing experience with a focus on Federal and state permit applications and environmental studies for oil and gas development, pipeline, and other linear corridor projects\.
+ Minimum four years of ecological studies field experience
+ Candidate must have strong analytical skills and writing abilities\. Must be organized, team player, critical thinker, and self\-motivator\.
+ Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre\-employment substance abuse test
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established and detailed understanding of the FERC certification process, the National Environmental Policy Act \(NEPA\), and other applicable federal, state and local permitting requirements \(e\.g\. CWA, CAA, NHPA, etc\.\)\.
+ Experience must include serving as task lead or similar management role for large\-scale linear corridor projects, including the preparation of environmental studies and Federal and State permit applications for oil and gas, pipeline, and transportation projects\.
