Specific skills and experience required:
• Experience in administering InfoSphere platform on an Unix platform (RHEL preferred)
• Knowledge of the Windows OS and Linux a must.
• Knowledge of LDAP authentication methods.
• Thorough understanding of the ETL suites technical concepts
• Strong UNIX/PERL scripting knowledge
• Familiarity with ETL tools including Informatica,Abinitio
• Experience with Oracle RDBMS 10g or higher
• IBM InfoSphere certifications a plus, but not necessary
• Detail oriented and must be able to think independently
• Presentation skills to present details to senior technology and business management team
• Skill in managing one's own time and the time of others based on an established project plan
• Skill in using analytics, logic and reasoning to troubleshoot issues and find the best solutions to challenges
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks with conflicting priorities

Job Description: AECOM has an immediate opening for a InfoSphere Information Server Administrator to join our team in Washington, D.C., convenient to Union Station!
This position is for an Enterprise Data Warehouse for a government client in a 24/7 environment. Occasional on-call support and after hours work are a requirement.
To join our growing team, a successful applicant should be able to provide hands-on technical assistance working with database developers, DBAs, architects, data quality analysts, and other teams with the following tasks:
Responsibilities:
• Configure Information Server security for users and groups
• Analyze existing ETL jobs and provide recommendations for performance improvement
• Perform the role of datastage operator, manager while balancing ETL jobs
• Manage InfoSphere Information Server sessions/job scheduling
• Manage Information Server components: DataStage, Admin console and related Infoshpere components
• Configure logging and reporting and troubleshoot audit trace files
• Configure DataStage projects and objects, including environment variables, data sets, job message handlers, and configuration files
• Analyze and Tune Performance Analysis and Resource Estimator tools
• Establish database connectivity with Information Server using direct API connections and ODBC drivers
• Gather and process operational metadata
• Manage system performance to meet required end user performance requirements
• Manage metadata assets using istool and Information Server Manager
• Create, build, and deploy packages using Information Server Manager
• Plan for Backup and restore using Information Server and help design enterprise architecture
• Manage enterprise wide Job management
• Configure Information Server clients, including Information Analyzer, FastTrack, and Metadata Workbench
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Use Import Export Manager to import metadata from external tools into the Information Server Repository
• Manage enterprise wide Data warehousing applications and finetune current ETL/ELT jobs for performance
• Re-architect existing Data warehousing ETL architecture to support multiple enterprise projects
• Integrate with IBM BigData toolset: Netezza,BigInsights,Guardium
• Other duties as required for ELT/ETL for IBM family of product.
