(could be included in the baccalaureate course material.) • Familiarity with applicable Federal Laws, DOE order, and company policies. • This position falls under DOE Order 426.2 and as such must meet the conditions of the order. On an exception basis, equivalencies for education and experience may be applied. • Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen Preferred Requirements • Previously qualified as an instructor at Savannah River Site. • Previous experience at the Defense Waste Processing Facility (DWPF). • Previous experience as a simulator instructor. • Ability to demonstrate exemplary performance to tasks in the discipline and evaluate student performance of those tasks. • Knowledge of the content of assigned lessons sufficient to evaluate the relative importance of concepts, generalizations of concepts, and application to various jobs onsite is required in order to pinpoint causes of deficiencies in achievement. Position Description: Administers and provides technical, schedule and cost control oversight for low to medium risk subcontracts or single subcontracts that are broad in scope, with moderate complexity. Direct subcontractor to perform the technical and administrative requirements set forth in the subcontract documents. Summary Through the use of effective training methods, provides employees with the technical knowledge and skills required to perform their jobs safely and competently. Develops and presents training courses based on analysis of job tasks for the area assigned. Perform a variety of technical instructional support functions including revision of training materials, evaluation of other instructors, monitoring instructor qualifications, and facilitating task analysis which includes identification of task elements. Could be called on to coordinate and provide budget input and other training administration tasks as required. May provide assistance to a Senior Technical Training Specialist performing related activities on more complex tasks. Responsibilitites • Present classroom training and conduct on-the-job training. • Assist students with using interactive training tools. • Supply alternate and ancillary resources and references as required. • Monitor and promote trainee achievement of lesson objectives. • Administer oral and written examinations, and formal evaluation of job performance measures. • Construct a logical outline of lesson content. • Modify lesson plans to incorporate content changes, addressing differing target audiences, using a variety of media, and provide varied learning experiences. • Write training manuals, lessons plans, student guides, and other training material as required. • Revise training materials as changes occur to procedures, practices, policy, or any other information on which training is based. • Assist/advise more junior instructors in developing their training materials and their training skills. • Review test items and ensure content and predictive validity. • Perform job, task, and needs analysis, design of training, and development of training for applicable discipline. • Perform evaluation of training effectiveness by conducting end-of-course evaluations and compiling exam results data. • Perform evaluation of other instructors. • Perform varied training administration tasks which include coordinating training scheduling, attendance monitoring, duplication/production of training materials, budget preparation and tracking, and other duties as assigned. • Develop, implement and issue Operating Experience Program (OEP)/Lessons Learned training materials. • Perform instructional review of training materials.
