Requisition Number: FS103931 Interest Category: Business Operations/Admin/IT Interest Sub Category: Information Technology Job Title : Configuration Management Specialist Employment Category/Status: full-time Type of Position: Regular Hire Country: U.S. State: Maryland City: Fort Meade Minimum Requirements: AECOM is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist for our Fort Meade, MD location. • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Communication Systems, Systems Engineering, Engineering, or related scientific, computer, or communications systems field which supports the duty requirements as described in this labor category or equivalent work experience. • The position requires a minimum of three years of experience, one of which must be specialized technical experience in maintaining the integrity and traceability of complex system configurations. • Experience in administering and conducting technical review boards in an Enterprise IT/Telecommunications network architecture environment (preferably DoD/DISN) required. • Must be able to interface with DoD staff members in the multidiscipline field of network configuration and maintenance. • Must possess excellent communication skills (writing and briefing) and have demonstrated the ability to plan, develop, organize, implement, and maintain a configuration management system. • Candidate must be familiar with MS Office Products to include Visio and SharePoint. • Must hold or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance before working on the task. Job Description: AECOM is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to join our team at Fort Meade in Maryland! The Configuration Management (CM) Specialist for DISA Network Services Communications Center (NS1) is responsible for all aspects of the NS1 Configuration Control Board (CCB) process. The NS1CM Specialist will be knowledgeable of CM areas such as: Baseline Identification, Configuration Control, Review and Auditing, and Configuration Status Accounting. Responsibilities include: • The CM Specialist will setup, conduct, administer and report on NS1 Configuration Control Boards, maintain CCB Charters, develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, support the Request for Change process, interface directly with the DISN Change Advisory Board, maintain the CM database of activities and records of the CM Team, craft CM briefings and represent NS1 positions at various technical meetings. • The CM Specialist will help track and enforce the DISA Implementation Request process, track the activities of the Circuit Implementation Team, and coordinate with all Government and Contractor participants, worldwide, of the DISN CCB process. • The NS1 CM Specialist will coordinate with each Theater Network Operation Center, the Network Configuration and Change Management database manager, and other Operational entities to collect, validate data, and report data discrepancies discovered between the NCCM and other data tools of record and report these discrepancies to the Network Manager and NS1 Managers on a monthly basis.
