Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support\. **Job Summary** AECOM has an excellent opportunity for an **Electrical Inspector/Code Compliance Manager** on our FOSTERS program in Australia\. The selected candidate will be required to perform electrical inspections on all electrical installations and electrical works carried out within the JDFPG facility to ensure conformance to the National Electrical \(NEC\) and relevant JDFPG policy and procedures\. The Electrical Inspector is the independent public safety advocate with no stake in a particular project other than to ensure that the end result is a safe installation that complies with all of the applicable JDFPG/NEC requirements\. The Electrical Inspector/Code Compliance Manager is responsible for the inspection of electrical installations, repairs or alterations to insure conformance to codes, standards, plans or specifications and the has the overall responsibility of the JDFPG electrical program including development, implementation, training and mentoring, other responsibilities including; undertaing all work in a safe and professional manner; ensuring that all electrical installations are correct to the engineered drawings and NEC code requirements; inspect electrical installations in various stages of construction; perform electrical drawing design reviews to ensure conformance to the NEC and relevant codes and standards; conduct field investigations and compile investigation reports; perform inspections as per the NEC Electrical Inspection Manual Checklists handbook; issue approval notices for electrical installations and write correction notices when there are violations; complete and sign off on electrical work utilising the JDFPG Certificate of Compliance \(CoC\) form and procedure; provide guidance and training to JDFPG electrical workers regarding the NEC code to ensure for safe electrical installations; provide conflict resolution in interpreting NEC code requirements as required to ensure safe electrical installations; maintain up to date information regarding changes in codes, standards or legislation to ensure conformance; maintain good working relations with contractors, architects, engineers, public utilities and private parties engaged in the use and installation of electrical equipment; instruct electrical program participants in NEC electrical wiring rules; develop supporting training materials as needed; coordinate hands on training activities including on site projects; demonstrate proper tool and equipment use, with an emphasis on safety; perform various administrative and reporting functions as required; assist in all areas of FOSTERS EHS from time to time as required, within capabilities and training\. Additionally, the selected candidate will work both internally and externally; must work professionally as a key member of the FOSTERS EHS Team; work will need to be performed individually or as part of the team\. The Electrical Inspector must be able to coordinate and communicate with a number of internal staff on a routine basis; must be able to develop cooperative relationships with JDFPG Customers \(US and Australian\); liaise with outside organizations and agencies \(USG, ADoD, NT and Local Government\) on OHS efforts; liaise with counterparts in AECOM Australia and LMA as well as the US as required and manage sub\-contractors and consultants who provide OHS services and materials to JDFPG\. **Minimum Requirements** + Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI w/poly before employment\. + Must possess and maintain a valid state Masters Electrician License\. + Valid U\.S\. Tourist Passport\. + Valid U\.S\. drivers license\. + Ability to explain electrical trade rules, regulations, policies and procedures\. + 10 \- 15 years of experience in domestic, commercial and industrial electrical work\. + Experience reading and interpreting blueprints of electrical installations\. + Demonstrated ability to plan and organize tasks\. + Work with and supervise other staff needed\. + Must possess a working understanding of EHS procedures\. + Able to work professionally and safely with minimal supervision\. + Sound Knowledge of the National Electric Code \(NEC\) and associated standards\. + Understanding of technical environment and terminology\. + Understand schematic drawings and redline them to As\-Built standards when required\. + Strong interpersonal communication skills \(written and verbal\)\. + Ability to be effective in working with people across organizational levels\. + Ability to multi\-task\. + Ability to influence all JDFPG employees to follow safety policies\. + Remain current and trained in applicable electrical codes and laws\. **Preferred Qualifications** + Previous training in appropriate safety procedures \(i\.e\.
