Minimum Requirements: • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences, Geology, Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 6 years of field data collection, data review and preparation of technical documents
• High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Good working knowledge of word processing and integrated software applications, including MS Word and Excel
• Organizational management skills and ability to perform detail oriented work
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, including the ability to convey thoughts clearly and concisely
• Field work requires a tolerance for working in outdoor environments, including prolonged walking or standing on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions
• Travel is required
• Ability to prepare work plans for various investigation and remediation type projects
• Ability to prepare technical reports and memorandums
• Ability to prepare scopes of work for various subcontractor work; drilling, well installations, survey, utility locating, etc.
• Ability oversee and manage various field subcontractors
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and annual 8-hour refresher updates
• Valid Driver's License

Job Description: The Design and Consulting Services Group is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Geologist/Environmental Scientist for immediate employment in the Bismarck, North Dakota office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Implementing field sampling and subsurface investigations
• Geologic logging and interpretation
• Installing monitoring wells
• Collecting groundwater samples using various sampling methods
• Supervising subcontractors
• Upholding both client and company health and safety standards
• Assisting with data assessment and report preparations
• Field work may be completed alone or as part of a field team
• Preparation of field logs and field activity summaries
• Groundwater elevation calculations
• Research of property history and review of environmental regulations
• Supervising subcontractors
• Assisting with data assessment and report preparations
• Interacting with multi-discipline and multi-office teams within AECOM, clients and regulatory agencies
