Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field from an accredited college or university or demonstrated equivalent.
Experience:
• Extensive and diversified experience in the engineering and construction industry or related industry with demonstrated experience in Business Development/Marketing management.
• 10+ years demonstrated experience with proposal preparation from kickoff to final production.
• 10+ year’s demonstrative experience managing a team of five or more individuals.
• Experience with basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications.
• Demonstrated experience with creating and managing budgets.
• Thorough knowledge of the engineering and construction industry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of sales, marketing, planning, and the proposal process, as well as market research principles and techniques.
• Ability to conduct and coordinate detailed phases of marketing functions.
• Previous experience in proposal development for EPC projects in excess of $100M is required
• Previous experience in proposal development for facility design and construction services in either the oil & gas or heavy industrial manufacturing sectors is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 10+years of diversified experience in the engineering and construction industry or related industry with demonstrated experience in Marketing/proposal management.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Position Description or Typical Responsibilities:
• Coordinate proposal preparation; strategically managing the development of new business documents.
• Active participation in local professional organizations
• Assist capture managers in the strategy, win themes, competitive analysis or gap analysis associated with a given proposal
• Lead the preparation and delivery of all proposal volumes and other required proposal deliverables.
• Prepare detailed proposal outline and defines the proposal schedule from kickoff to final production.
• Delegate responsibilities and resources to proposal personnel
• Integrate the efforts of all involved technical, management, contracts, pricing and business staff with proposal team staff, and of proposal team staff with production staff.
• Collaborate in the development and coordinate the implementation of strategic marketing and communication plans with account managers to achieve corporate and client objectives for products and services
• Inspire and guide a team of marketing coordinators to creative excellence as both a mentor and a contributor
• Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image, and manage brands and messages throughout all product lines, promotional materials, integrated campaigns, and events for AECOM EIC and its clients.
• Manage quality control, including proofing, reviewing, and measuring creative output and processes
• Demonstrate ownership and sense of urgency in completing projects by established deadlines and resolving issues in a fast paced environment, delivering high quality products at the lowest cost.
• Implements and administers use of approved processes and procedures.
• Directs, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of sales, marketing, proposal, research, and planning activities.
• Prepares marketing budgets; monitors and manages usage.
• Provides counsel to top management on the practices and procedures for developing and maintaining efficient and effective marketing operations. Develops and recommends changes as appropriate.
• Manage and develop a dynamic team of account managers and creative staff, maintaining responsibility for team direction, coordination and evaluation. Assess current and future talent needs of the marketing group in pursuit of the strongest team possible, ensuring growth through training and coaching.
