Minimum Requirements: Minimum Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Scientific related field
• Three years of relevant engineering experience.
• Three years of experience in a regulatory assurance related field
• At least one year of experience at a nuclear facility
• Must possess good to excellent written and oral communication skills
• Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizens
Preferred Requirements:
• Experience in the area of nuclear safety related activities such as hazard analysis, unreviewed safety question reviews, TSR control selection, safety basis preparation or safety basis implementation
• The ability to actively listen and initiate problem solving
• Previous WIPP experience

Position Description:
Perform wide variety of nuclear safety duties: interpret federal and state laws, other regulatory requirements and DOE Orders as they apply to assure practices and procedures are compliant and reporting requirements are met; overview internal and external reviews of nuclear safety programs; follow corrective actions through completion or resolution, prepare related reports, and assure auditable documentation is maintained; address compliance issues from internal and external sources; develop and implement programs, procedures, requirements and policies; evaluate procedures and documentation for effectiveness and compliance with laws and regulations; and participate in internal independent compliance assessments of various Project participants.
