**About the Business Line** **Environment**
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\.
**Job Summary** An exciting opportunity has come up in our Newcastle office for a motivated individual with experience in occupational hygiene consulting and monitoring\. The role will include assessment of workplace exposure to a range of physical and chemical hazards and providing reporting and professional services to clients\.
**Minimum Requirements** The work will include assisting with projects in the following areas:
Occupational Hygiene including monitoring;
Work Health & Safety \(WHS\) consulting and auditing; and
Hazardous Materials site investigations and abatement monitoring\.
In this position you will have relevant qualifications in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science or similar\. The successful candidate will have some practical field experience in asbestos surveys and asbestos analytical works\. Experience in undertaking clearance inspections would be highly regarded\. In addition, consulting or equivalent experience including experience in the mining industry will be highly regarded\.
**Preferred Qualifications** Projects are undertaken for a variety of government and private organisations throughout Australia\. Much of this requires travel to client sites and may therefore require extensive travel and time spent staying away from the home city\.
Well\-developed skills in field observations and monitoring, data analysis, verbal and written communication and a current driver’s license are also required\.
