Minimum two (2) years actual and recent E-2c aircraft experience required. Thorough knowledge of technical publications related to aircraft electrical maintenance mandatory. Clarity of written and oral expression desired. Must have knowledge of the scopes and limitations of various categories of electronic maintenance (related maintenance functions) and their applications to the contract unit. Must know theory and principles of operation of engines, accessories and components, theory of flight and electronic flight controls, and a thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic principles. Must be capable of using and reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and data tables. Must be able to inspect, repair, and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment. * Performs Organization Maintenance on the E-2C Hawkeye electrical systems both ashore and afloat. * Troubleshoots, repairs, replaces and performs system operational checks on electrical/mechanical Repairable Assemblies. * Must have knowledge on Inertial Navigation, Automatic Flight Control System, Vapor Cycle Environmental System, Power Generation and Distribution. Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks. Candidate must have or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance for this position. “Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English” Job Description: Maintains and repairs electronic generation systems and in-flight navigation and detection systems on the E-2C aircraft. Maintains SCADC and pitot-static systems, advisory and caution panels, vapor cycle control equipment, attitude direction indicators, generators and control units, fuel quantity system and indication, interior and exterior lighting and power supplies, engine monitoring and control systems, standard automatic flight control system, pitch feel system, emergency system components, environmental systems; follows standard checkout procedures to location malfunctions; read schematics and block diagrams, uses basic and electronic test equipment and specialized system test equipment; completes maintenance forms; inventories parts and supplies; maintains technical library; performs avionics corrosion control. Covers tasks not covered in standard service manuals. Diagnoses non-routine malfunctions and demonstrates repair techniques; Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
