AECOM’s Global Support Services \(GSS\) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs\. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere\. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world\. GSS supports the U\.S\. Government, non\-U\.S\. **Job Summary** Stationary Engineer operates and maintains one or more systems that provide an establishment with such services as heat, air\-conditioning refrigeration, steam or high\-temperature water or electricity\.
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Maintain zero Operations safety recordable incidents\.
+ Ensure Operations has zero environmental non\-compliances\.
+ Ability to correctly follow assigned procedures and processes\.
+ Responsible for monitoring computer controlled process equipment associated with demilitarization of chemical weapons: included are Projectile/ Mortar Disassembly Machine, Munitions Washout Station, Metal Treatment Unit, and Off\-Gas Treatment\.
+ Responsible for monitoring computer controlled process equipment associated with demilitarization of chemical weapons: included are agent neutralization batch process equipment and process support equipment \(i\.e\. air compressors, chillers, HVAC systems, water systems, boilers, and Immobilized Bio\-Treatment\)
+ Initiate and control process functions to operate demilitarization systems in accordance with all standard operating procedures and environmental regulations\.
+ Respond to system operating parameter deviations from the desired band and alarms, and assume semi\-automatic or manual control, as situation requires\.
+ Responsible for directing operators as required to maintain control of all systems under his/her control\.
+ Monitor, control and support all activities of personnel working in contaminated and exclusion areas\.Cooperate and control CCTV system throughout the plant\.
+ Functions as contingency coordinate under the direction of Shift Superintendent during plant contingencies, which involves PA announcements, personnel notifications, CCTV monitoring, Radio Communications, and plant systems monitoring
+ Monitor systems under his/her control for undesirable trends and report same to Control Room Supervisor\.
+ Responsible for maintaining accurate log books, data sheets and other historical systems under his/her control\.
+ Responsible for supervising trainees who are undergoing on\-the\-job training\.
+ Responsible for security key control and issuance of all plant surety/security keys\.
+ Assist in analysis and development of solutions to operating system problems, alarms and unusual occurrences\.
+ May be required in shutdown periods or periods of low Control Room activity to perform duties specified on the various plant operator job descriptions\.
+ Other duties as assigned by supervisor
**Minimum Requirements** High school or equivalent education and minimum two years experience as an industrial plant operator or control room operator\. OR Fully certified \(Initial, Primary and all Supplemental\) Plant Operator\.
Industrial plant operator or control room operator experience in power or chemical plants, hazardous waste incinerators, waste water treatment facilities, petrochemical plants, boilers or utility systems \(i\.e\., compressed air, electrical distribution, hydraulics, HVAC, bulk chemical storage and distribution, etc\.\) or related industry\. Industrial equipment trouble\-shooting skills \(i\.e\., pumps, compressors, HVAC, conveyors\)\. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and other computer applications\. Ability to speak publicly and communicate clearly during normal and crisis situations\.
Must have a TS/SCI security clearance
