We pride ourselves on ensuring we deliver the best customer service possible to our people while building trust and relationships with all of our constituents\. **Job Summary** This role will assist the Net Working Capital Manager to manage the debtor lifecycle in AECOM including AR outstanding as well as unbilled by projects\. The primary purpose of the role is to drive collections and ultimately bring debtor days down\. **Key Relationships:** This position reports to: Net Working Capital Manager Internal relationships \- as a member of the Net Working Capital team, the Collector Africa will work closely with Project Accounting Officers; End markets Billers; Project Managers; Corporate Finance team; End Markets Operations, Corporate Accounts Receivable; Corporate FP&A and Corporate Operational Finance\. External relationships – clients and external collections agency\. **Key Tasks and Responsibilities:** Cash is a key driver for AECOM globally, with a heavy focus on this from both a corporate and a market perspective\. This role looks after the debtor side of the working capital requirements as well as assisting with process improvements within the finance department\. + Assist the Net Working Capital Manager with credit and debtor control functions, with a view to unlock working capital from a debtor perspective\. This will include but is not limited to: + Assisting in the collection of debts on a timely basis to minimise the risk of debt becoming uncollectable\. + Liaison point with end markets and operations functions + Assist in the creation of debtor collection reporting and dashboards + Establishing working relationships with the client contacts within their AP teams + Maintaining comments and status codes for Africa debt portfolio in ABC + Assist in the administration of ABC from a collections stand point + Assist with the administration of debts which are sent to external collections agency\. + Assist in flagging uncollectable debts to ensure bad debts are approved and raised appropriately + Assist in the clearing of the AR portfolio from commercially uncollectable debt + Reviewing unbilled level and aging per projects + Liaising with end markets, operations and billers to understand reasons for unbilled and ensuring that billable portion of unbilled are billed appropriately and timely + Assist in the implementation of cash flow forecast by projects \(Collections – Billings \- Disbursements\) + Project work is expected to adjust and fluctuate to the changing needs of the finance department\.
