**About the Business Line** **Environment**
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\.
**Job Summary**
Utilize GIS techniques and software to perform geographic analysis, cartography, and database creation/maintenance\. Work under general supervision to complete GIS projects including extraction and analysis of data, and recommendations based on results\. Plan and conduct GIS work related to detailed phases of major projects\. Conduct data gathering, conversion, analysis, manipulation and processing of spatial data using ESRI ArcGIS\. Develop and evaluate plans and criteria in quality assurance/control\. Recommend solutions to assignment problems\. May execute and develop GIS projects of moderate scope and complexity\.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, planning, engineering, computer science or related field\.
+ 3\-5 years of relevant experience\.
+ Knowledge of cartography, coordinate systems, and map projections\.
+ Must have extensive experience working with ESRI ArcGIS and GIS databases\.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience in GIS work related to environmental planning, impact assessment, permitting, compliance, and remediation
+ Knowledge of NEPA processes \(EIS, EA, etc\.\)
+ Knowledge of mobile data collection \(GPS\) techniques to support field staff
+ Strong analytical skills desired
+ Python scripting experience preferred
+ Strong communication skills and an ability to work in a GIS team environment are essential for this position
