**About the Business Line** **Water**
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\.
**Job Summary** We are currently recruiting for a CAD Technician to join our well\-established and experienced Water team in our Chesterfield office\.
The Water team brings together the skills of project managers, hydrologists, flood engineers, water scientists, numerical modellers, and environmental and planning specialists to provide integrated, sustainable and cost\-effective solutions\. Activities include; flood defences, dams, water supply and water treatment plants, pumping stations, pipe networks, sewerage, wastewater treatment, and outfalls\. Our clients include local and national government, including the Environment Agency, as well as developers, architects, planners and contractors\.
As a CAD Technician you will have the following responsibilities:
• Producing accurate drawings and details for water related projects\.
• Liaise with internal and external Design teams, clients and contractors as appropriate\.
• Attend design review meetings\.
• Review and comment on CAD drawings on the project to ensure compliance with the project CAD requirements\.
• Deliver safe and economic designs\.
**Minimum Requirements** • Demonstrable experience of working as a CAD technician, ideally on water based civil/mechanical engineering projects\.
• The ability to transfer engineering sketches to CAD drawings\.
• An understanding of basic industry standards\.
• 3D CAD and BIM knowledge/capability\.
**Preferred Qualifications** • Educated to HNC level or equivalent in a relevant subject such as Civil or Mechanical Engineering or similar\.
