The **Air Quality Engineer** will contribute to a technically diverse team that provides on\-site consultative support at multiple client facilities, in the greater Houston area\. The Air Quality Engineer works under the direct supervision of other senior scientists, engineers, or other Project Managers to perform assignments, developing high quality deliverable products\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Prepare Standard Permits, Title V permits, New Source Review permits, Permits by Rule or renewal permits or any other environmental multi\-media permits as assigned + Conduct and complete regulatory, quantitative, and qualitative analyses and reports such as Emissions Inventory, Toxic Release Inventory and others + Gather and analyze emissions data for Title V compliance + Adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes + Prepare complex environmental compliance reports to agencies, for assigned clients + Effectively support the preparation of proposals and can generate proposals under senior guidance + Responsible for quality control of tasks or small segments of project produced, as well as products of technical and administrative staff assigned + Provide support and direction to more junior\-level employees on routine assignments + Provide technical peer review to data validation reports and other routine tasks and deliverables + Support marketing initiatives and actively participate in maintaining a safe work environment and supporting a culture of safety **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Science or related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience + Knowledgeable of state and federal environmental regulatory framework and processes + Knowledge and experience performing air emissions calculations, air dispersion modeling, data management, calculations and analysis + Advanced knowledge and skills in utilizing Excel \(data management, calculations and analysis\) and developing and managing complex documents, and PowerPoint + Ability to communicate verbally and in written form to impart technical information and interact with clients and regulatory personnel + Effective time management and analytical skills + Understanding of personal role in supporting marketing of company services by delivering high\-quality, accurate work products to clients + Qualified applicants who are offered a position are required to pass a pre\-employment substance abuse test + Must possess valid Driver’s license + Due to nature and location of work, United States Citizenship or Naturalized Citizenship is required **Preferred Qualifications** + Registered Engineer in training Preferred + Experience or familiarity in working with the TCEQ + Experience in the Chemical Industry **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
