Our global network of top\-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries\. **Job Summary** AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Civil/Transportation/Construction Engineer for immediate employment in the Southfield office\. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Work in the office assisting the Project Manager in construction administration for Michigan Department of Transportation \(MDOT\), local government, and airport projects + Perform field inspection, quantity takeoffs, material testing, and related assignments + Transportation construction administration + Field inspection + Traffic control inspection + Document processing + Estimating quantities for future projects + Attend meetings + Communication with AECOM supervisors and peers, MDOT, local government contacts, contractors, and the general public **Minimum Requirements** + Minimum Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering + Minimum 2\+ years of relevant experience in Construction Engineering and/or Inspection + Computer proficiency: Windows environment, Microsoft Office \(Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Access\); Microstation, AutoCAD, and organized file management + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas related to transportation construction, utilities, earthwork, drainage, pavements, traffic control, and documentation + Full\-range of physical mobility, visual acuity\. Long hours working outdoors may be required + Ability to work calmly and accurately under pressure\.
