Minimum Requirements: URS is now hiring a qualified Tool & Parts Attendant in support of US Navy aircraft maintenance operations at NAS Whidbey Island, WA.
High school graduate or equivalent. Six months actual and related experience and a valid state driver's license is required.
Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment desired. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks.
May be required to pass a U.S. Government background security check.

Must have the ability to pass and maintain U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
Job Description: Receive, store and issue hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in industrial establishment. Monitor condition of all tools and equipment in tool room custody and is responsible for accountability of all tool inventories.
Essential Responsibilities:
1) Maintain records of tools issued to and returned by workers.
2) Receive, accounts for, unpacks and stores new equipment.
3) Attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment, using electric marking tools.
4) Prepare periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed.
5) Monitor condition of all equipment on an ongoing basis. Report loss, damage or destruction of tooling in accordance with documented procedures.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Work is performed in a shop environment that is moderately lighted, heated and ventilated, is exposed to disagreeable fumes and to cuts and bruises from using tools in close placed and hazards of moving vehicles such as forklifts and sweepers in shop area. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel, talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell. Frequently lift items weighing 15-25 pounds and occasionally in excess of 45 pounds. .
