**About the Business Line** **Water**
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\.
**Job Summary** Salt Lake City Water Resource group is seeking a highly talented and creative **Intern** that can support project managers with their current and projected workload\. Additional staff with help or relieve assignments for roadway work, FEMA work, mining and industrial client assignments\. The Salt Lake City AECOM office is staffed by over 100 science and engineering professionals working in a wide variety of technical disciplines, including geotechnical engineering, environmental planning, air quality, water and wastewater treatment, transportation engineering, investigation and remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater, solid waste, structural engineering, and construction management\.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Complete all assigned activities
+ Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures, and rules governing professional staff behavior
+ Adhere to company policies governing the observation of confidentiality and the handling of confidential information
+ Maintain professional relationships with company employees and customers
+ Relate and apply knowledge acquired in the academic setting to the company setting
+ Prepare for and utilize conferences and other learning opportunities afforded in the company
+ Be consistent and punctual in the submission of all assignments to the supervisor
+ Complete a survey evaluation at the end of the internship assignment and provide feedback on the internship experience
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior in an engineering program at a local college or university; accepted majors include Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
+ Minimum GPA of 3\.0
+ Must have strong mathematical skills and spatial awareness
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Must be able to write and convey thoughts, and organize data in an efficient and clear manner
+ Effectively multi\-task
+ Basic AutoCad/Civil 3D and/or Microstation/GeoPak knowledge as well as proficient Microsoft Office computer skills
+ Willingness to work in multiple engineering and engineering related disciplines
+ Must have good time management skills, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and most importantly, a strong desire to learn
+ Qualified applicants will be asked to share a technical writing sample prior to interview
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Ability to work and manage time independently
+ Strong organizational and time management skills
+ Effective oral and written communication skills
+ A basic knowledge of CADD software
